Mount Severn hosts its own Activity Centre and caters for all groups requiring Activity Holidays and Outdoor Activities, Mountain Biking, Activity Days, your School Trip, Stag Weekend, Hen Weekend, Self Catering Accommodation, or private use of the house and grounds as a Wedding Venue, first-class Conference Venue, or for life's other special occasions.

Surrounded by the wonderful scenery of Mid Wales which is famous for its Red Kites, Mount Severn is a luxurious Georgian Country House set in its own woodland with the source of the River Severn running through the 14 acres of stunning private grounds.

Located one mile outside the quaint "Fair Trade" town of Llanidloes and easily accessible via the A470 or Caersws railway station we offer perfect seclusion "away from the crowds - but easily accessible". Our 12 large en-suite guest bedrooms provide comfortable accommodation for up to 30 adults with additional availability for younger people. The well stocked library with its open log fire is the ideal place to relax and unwind after a full day in the outdoors, or alternatively its indoor games, table tennis, or Sky TV whilst waiting for dinner which is freshly prepared by our staff using locally sourced produce. We of course cater for all dietary requirements including a self catering option for those simply wishing to hire the house and the option of exclusive use provides full privacy and security for those guests requiring it.

In addition to being licensed for Civil Ceremonies and with fabulous photo opportunities, many of our Wedding guests opt to stay at the venue with us on the eve and night of the Wedding before taking advantage of what our private Activity Centre has to offer, rounding off that memorable occasion before leaving for home. Our Activity Centre offers a broad range of indoor and outdoor activities focused on fun, pushing personal boundaries, and Team Building using exercises that are both physical and cerebral.

Lastly, if your simply looking for a first class Conference Venue or Meeting Rooms we can accommodate and provide full catering facilities for up to 40 delegates with all materials, multimedia facilities, and wireless internet connectivity throughout.

Located in the Cambrian Mountains at the heart of Walking & Mountain Biking country Mount Severn is close to the major tourist attractions of the Hafren Forest, Elan Valley, Clywedog Dam, Nant-yr-Arian Kite Feeding Centre, and several Silver & Lead Mines. The local town of Llanidloes is within 30 minutes of Welshpool and Aberystwyth and offers good organic and vegetarian outlets. In addition there are also excellent restaurants, cafes, and specialist shops ranging from bridal wear to outdoor pursuits.
