offer the choice of either one of our tried and trusted off-the-shelf
corporate and management development packages or a bespoke service which
can be customised directly to your unique requirements.
Off-the-shelf:
Outdoor Challenge team development courses are directed towards understanding
and encouraging strong, effective teamwork. They will further enhance
individual’s leadership skills and personal awareness. Choose from:
1. Short
courses
A two night programme of challenge and development. Arrival for an evening
meal on day one followed by exercises in the grounds. Day 2 brings a selection
of outdoor activities giving you the chance to bond as a team and get
to know individual boundaries and strengths. Day 3 a half day challenge
relying on the learning from day 2 to achieve success.
Ideal for new teams
2. Competitive
challenge
This challenge based activities package is designed to motivate and stretch.
Working in small teams, competing against your colleagues, you will be
put through your paces physically, mentally and emotionally. The balance
of these elements ensures all team members can contribute equally, highlighting
the critical value of teamwork, whilst under the strain of a competitive
environment.
Ideal for larger companies who want smaller teams to create a competitive
edge amongst themselves.
Bespoke
Service:
You are the best people to understand your needs and budgetary constraints.
Mount Severn staff have a wealth of experience in designing courses to
specifically fulfil these needs. There are five core elements to our bespoke
service which can be facilitated over any time period.

development challenges
Team and individual challenges to develop all levels from trainees and
graduate intake to middle and senior management. What do you want to do
better? Communication, resolving conflict, motivation, team buy in –
these common issues and many others can be approached and overcome.
2. Outdoor
activities
We pride ourselves in the delivery of authentic outdoor activities, guided
by fully qualified staff, using high specification equipment – ensuring
exhilaration in a safe environment. Time permitting, chose any combination
of:
High-ropes
course, abseiling, rock climbing, kayaking, Canadian canoeing, ghyll scrambling,
orienteering, mountain days, hill walking, ridge scrambling, wide games,
search and rescue, zip wire, caving and potholing, archery, raft building,
bivouacking, night navigation and night journeys, guided mountain days,
navigation exercises.
3. Incorporating
your events within development workshops
This option combines our expertise in corporate team development and exhilarating
outdoor activities with your need to get away from an often constraining
office environment. We will provide a venue for your meeting, communications
event or corporate function, then organise activities and/or country pursuits,
of your choosing, to re-energise and re-focus or simply reward the team.
4. Organised
fun
We are happy to organise a wide range of the traditional country sports
and activities. Through our network of sub-contractors and using our local
knowledge, we ensure you get value for money and the very best that Mid
Wales has to offer:
Clay pigeon
shooting, quad-biking, mountain biking, horse-riding, fishing.
5. Conference
facilities
Mount Severn can also provide basic conference and full catering facilities
for groups up to 20 in size. With smaller break out rooms for group work,
why not chose the stunningly evocative Mid-Wales landscape as the backdrop
for your next conference?

Activities, be they indoor or outdoor, are designed thoughtfully so the
level of activity involved is extremely flexible in order to accommodate
