For an Activity Holiday with a difference – Mount Severn Activity Centre is the place to be. A Grade II Georgian luxury house set in 14 acres of woodland with the River Severn running through. Creating the feeling of a ‘country house party’ our guests come to both take part in the wide range of outdoor activities and to relax and unwind away from the stress and pressure of modern day living. With the opportunity to meet new friends or to take the house for 'exclusive use'.
All of the activities are provided by our experienced instructors. Within the activity holiday centre grounds the following activities take place:
- Kayaking
- Archery
- High and low ropes
- Orienteering
- Raft building
Whilst locally we take you:
- Climbing
- Abseiling
- Caving
- Hill Walking
- Gorge Walking
In addition, locally, there is fishing, clay pigeon shooting, golf, horse riding, white-water rafting, canoeing, windsurfing, cycling and rally driving. As well as the Centre for Alternative Technology, the Spaceguard Centre (an observatory), Craft Centres and Steam Railways there are also numerous RSPB Bird Watching locations and Red Kite feeding. In other words – something for EVERY member of the family.
At the end of a full and fun day, relax in the Sitting Room where you can enjoy indoor games or table-tennis, or retire to the well stocked Library in front of the log fire – whilst waiting for dinner to be served. Our carefully planned menus using locally sourced produce are served in the dining room and we can of course cater for all dietary requirements.
It is then time to retire to your en-suite bedroom for a good nights sleep before embarking on the next days adventures.

Llanidloes in Mid Wales is the first Fair-trade town in Wales and offers good organic and vegetarian outlets. There are also excellent specialist shops ranging from bridal to outdoor pursuits. With good communication links to all major airports and trains we are “away from the crowds – but easily accessible”.
