Climbing Improver

Pre-requisites: Be able to belay and tie in.

Course details: Limited to 10 people will mean a more personal service
This course is aimed at improving your climbing technique.
We will cover belay techniques to ensure safety at all times.
Basic rope management and belay set-ups, we will cover bouldering and so develop your movement on rock so by the end of the course you will be able to set up your own single pitch routes after selecting appropriate routes from the guidebook.

During the evening there will be talks on Kit and other selected aspects of climbing

All food and accommodation will be provided at Mount Severn Activity Centre
There is a drying room and a certain amount of equipment is available to hire.

Kayaking Improver

Pre-requisites: You should be able to paddle comfortably on flat water.

Course details: Limited to 10 people will mean a more personal service.
The course will start on flat water honing the paddling skills you already have.
We will introduce moving water and rolling techniques and by the end of the course we will be running rivers competently using the new knowledge.
This course will cover 3* skills

During the evening there will be talks on kit and aspects of river running.

All food and accommodation will be provided at Mount Severn Activity Centre
There is a drying room and a certain amount of equipment is available to hire.
